Winding down Focals
As we announced in our blog, we’ve made the difficult decision to wind down Focals. This page contains important dates and information regarding the end of support for your Focals smart glasses, Focals app, and services. We will also be issuing a full refund for all paid Focals orders.
On July 31st, 2020, you won’t be able to connect or use Focals or access your North account. The Focals app will also be removed from the Google Play and Apple App Store.
What’s happening to Focals?
Focals smart glasses and its services are discontinued and will no longer be available after July 31st, 2020. You won’t be able to connect your glasses through the app or use any features, abilities, or experiments from your glasses.
What happens to the Focals app?
You will not be be able to log into the Focals app after July 31st, 2020 and it will be removed from the Google Play and Apple App Store.
Eligibility for a refund
You should have received the refund we sent you for your paid Focals order. We sent the refund to the original payment method you used to purchase Focals.
What about Focals 2.0?
We will not be shipping Focals 2.0, but we hope you will continue the journey with us as we start this next chapter.

While wearing Focals, press the power button 5 times to get regulatory information for Focals and Loop on your display.
Occasionally, you might need to restart Focals if you are having an issue.
- To restart, press and hold the power button on the right temple arm. You’ll see the LED turn off.
- Keep holding the power button until the LED turns on again.
