Update

If you've purchased Focals after August 1, 2019, you can adjust your glasses yourself at home.

You're always welcome at a North Showroom if you'd prefer adjustments from a fit specialist.

Fitting appointments at North Showrooms allow you to get your glasses adjusted so they fit comfortably and are in a position so that you can see your Focals display.

Why do I need adjustments?

The size and fit of your glasses are extremely important in allowing you see the display.
The measurements taken during your sizing appointment help make sure you have the right size of Focals, but acquiring the right fit takes a bit more fine-tuning from a fit specialist at a North Showroom.

During a fitting appointment, a fit specialist will validate that you can see the display while wearing Focals. Fit specialists achieve this by adjusting the temple ends and nose pads on Focals to get the right fit - minimizing any pinching, sliding, or pressure points while also ensuring a you can see the display on Focals.

As you move from indoors to outdoors, having the right fit is crucial in how you see the display. Your pupils will expand and contract to adjust to the lighting conditions you're in, so as you move to brighter areas and your pupils shrink, the display on Focals has less of a chance of projecting within your line of sight.

What happens during a fitting appointment?
Your fitting appointment starts with some adjustments to Focals. A fit specialist works with the temple ends and nose pads on Focals, making sure they're resting in the right position and are comfortable as you wear them. Without these adjustments, it's possible you wouldn't be able to see the display the way it was designed.

After some fine tuning, a fit specialist will make sure your phone is connected with Focals and will help you align your display. During this time, the fit specialist might complete a few more adjustments to make display alignment easier.

Next, you’ll get reacquainted with the views and features on Focals - like Messaging, Calendar, Alexa, and Uber. Once you’re up and running, you can get back to your day and stay connected wherever you need to be.

How long are fitting appointments?
Fitting appointments should only take about 30-45 minutes of your time.
