iOS: Verify your phone number

Some operating systems integrate better with wearable tech accessories.

For this reason, sending messages from Focals works a bit differently with iPhones than it does with Android smartphones. Focals use unique phone numbers for each contact you message from your glasses. Messages sent to your normal phone number will still display on Focals, but any replies or messages you send from your glasses will use a unique number. Your contacts can use either number to send messages to you.

To make sure that your messages are sent from Focals, you'll need to verify your phone number in the Focals app. Here's how:

  1. Tap The Menu icon > Phone Number Verification.
  2. Enter your phone number. Tap Verify.
  3. You'll get a text message with a North Verification code. Tap the From Messages shortcut or enter the code to verify your phone number.
  • You'll see a Verified message when you're done.
