Can I change my non-prescription order to have prescription lenses?

If you have an existing order for non-prescription Focals and want to change your order to prescription Focals, contact us.

An optician is required to verify your ocular center (OC) height and pupillary distance (PD) measurements for prescription lenses. Visit a North Showroom or book a sizing appointment so an optician can verify these measurements for prescription Focals.

Why are these measurements important?

Prescription lenses are very different from non-prescription lenses.

An accurate OC height measurement combined with an accurate PD measurement ensure the lenses are properly positioned so that the ocular center (the area that gives you the truest vision) is directly in front of your pupils. This is especially important if you have a high myopia prescription or a prescription with astigmatism correction.

If your OC height and PD measurement vary by even just a few millimeters, text and images you see might appear blurry or pinched and you might experience headaches, fatigue, or eyestrain.
