Winding down Focals

As we announced in our blog, we’ve made the difficult decision to wind down Focals. This page contains important dates and information regarding the end of support for your Focals smart glasses, Focals app, and services. We will also be issuing a full refund for all paid Focals orders.

On July 31st, 2020, you won’t be able to connect or use Focals or access your North account. The Focals app will also be removed from the Google Play and Apple App Store.

What’s happening to Focals?
Focals smart glasses and its services are being discontinued and will no longer be available after July 31st, 2020. You won’t be able to connect your glasses through the app or use any features, abilities, or experiments from your glasses.

What happens to the Focals app?
You will not be be able to log into the Focals app after July 31st, 2020 and it will be removed from the Google Play and Apple App Store.

I’d like to delete my data from Focals, how do I do that?
You can complete a Factory Reset for Focals through the Focals app. You can also contact us to remove your account data and sizing information.

Complete a Factory Reset
Open the Focals app and select the Menu icon > Device Information.
Select Factory Reset to restore Focals to their original settings.

Eligibility for a refund
Full refunds will be given for all paid Focals orders starting June 30th, 2020 using the original payment method. If we are unable to process your refund, we will reach out to you to collect more information. Once processed, you should see the refunded amount back in your account within a few business days.

What about Focals 2.0?

We will not be shipping Focals 2.0, but we hope you will continue the journey with us as we start this next chapter.
